About us
Welcome to Thuringia is a joint project of the public universities of the German federal state of Thuringia.
The project is financially supported by the Landesministerium für Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Digitale Gesellschaft. Welcome to Thuringia is realized through cooperation with numerous expert partner institutions, in particular with the Studierendenwerk Thüringen, the Thuringian Agency for Skilled Personnel, the eTeach-Netzwerk Thüringen and the Netzwerk Hochschulmarketing in Thüringen.
Our goals
The goal of Welcome to Thuringia is to build and offer a modern digital learning platform for international students: Study in Thuringia. This free learning platform is intended to provide future international students with the most relevant information about Thuringia as a place to study and live, about the academic culture at German universities, and also about organisational preparation for their stay in Germany and available support services.
With this focus, the project is intended to help:
- attract international students to study in Thuringia.
- prepare them for the cultural and organisational challenges of studying in Germany.
- support their transition into the regional labour market.
