“What I love about my university is that for every subject there is an internship that you have to complete. During the internship, you work directly with state-of-the-art equipment. So what you hear in the lecture, is exactly what you see with your own eyes. Once, we even went to the University hospital just so we could look at a particular piece of equipment on site.”

“I think the supervision and mentoring ratio is really good. You always have someone to talk to, even outside the seminars and internships. During office hours, the employees here are actually really open or even happy when you approach them or need to ask them something.”

“We also have international students who have jobs during their studies, for example at ZEISS, or they're writing their bachelor's or master's thesis whilst working for a large or medium-sized companies. This is quite common here, especially in the field of engineering. The companies know the university and the professors so there's a close cooperation. In many degree programmes, there's even a compulsory internship, where it's mandatory to complete a practical internship in a company for up to one semester.”

They always kept in good communication with students via email, telling them about the opportunities for scholarships, internships, and thesis. They also helped them review their CV and motivation letter before applying for jobs.”
